Care Instructions

Your Mazumel ring is made of natural stone and copper. Both age beautifully when treated with a little intention. Here's how to keep yours looking — and feeling — its best.

For the stone

  • Avoid prolonged contact with water. A rinse is fine; soaking is not. Remove your ring before swimming, washing dishes, or showering.
  • Keep away from perfume, hairspray, lotion, and cleaning products. Apply your beauty routine first, then put your ring on.
  • Store in a soft pouch or jewelry box when not worn. Stones can scratch each other — don't pile them.
  • Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. Skip jewelry cleaning solutions.

For the copper band

Copper develops a natural patina over time — a soft, warm darkening that many of our wearers actually love. This is normal and beautiful, not a defect.

If you prefer the original shine:

  • Polish gently with a copper polishing cloth (available at most jewelry supply shops).
  • Or rub the band lightly with a paste of lemon juice and baking soda, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

A note on copper and skin

Copper can occasionally leave a temporary green mark on the skin — this is harmless and washes off. It happens more in humid weather and reduces over time. If you have very sensitive skin, you may prefer to wear your ring for special moments rather than daily.
